סְיָיג, סְיָג,m. (סוּג I) fence, hedge. Orl. I, 1 הנוטע לס׳ he that plants for the sake of forming a hedge (not for the fruit); a. fr.Trnsf. (cmp. גֶּדֶר) guard, preventive measure, protection.
